Garmin nüvi 775/775T 4.3-Inch Bluetooth Portable GPS Navigator with Traffic Review

My wife and I just returned from a 3-1/2 week driving vacation in Spain. We put over 2100 km on the car we rented, visiting Alcala de Henares, Zaragoza, Barcelona, Tarragona, Valencia, Granada, Seville, Cordoba, Toledo and Madrid - as well as Gibraltar. The trip was the reason we bought this GPS - and are we ever grateful that we did! It would have been a nightmare trying to navigate the highways and streets without the GPS. But the 775T made it easy. And, when I occasionaly misinterpreted its instructions and made a wrong turn - or if a street was closed due to construction - no problem: it just recalculated and re-routed me. Clear, bright, adequately-sized screen; adequately loud spoken directions (when volume set at 100%). Startup map loading and satellite acquisition were fast. Did not use any of its advanced features such as Bluetooth coupling with a cell phone or media player. Only negatives are: (1) Was not able to find several Points Of Interest (no big deal), (2) Lost satellite several times while on very narrow streets with tall buildings in Madrid (but regained it quickly once in a more open area - I suspect any GPS would have experienced this). This being the first and only automaotive GPS I've owned, I can't compare it with other units. I can only say it took all the stress out of driving in Spain and was well worth the money paid for it.

The product 1300 is a widescreen model with a size of 4.3 inches diagonally. Garmin had this model to a multifunctional device, so that works well in the car and you can take with them while browsing the city teeming foot. The five units of the product lines are thinner and lighter on the big screenModels in older product lines. All these devices are 0.6 centimeters thick and 0.8 inches for the older models.

1300 series units are also lighter than its predecessor (5.7) compared to 6.1 ounces ounce. All units in the Nuvi 1300 series give you the names of streets, which is the most important feature in a GPS for vehicles.

Garmin nüvi 1370/1370T 4.3-Inch Widescreen Bluetooth Portable GPS Navigator with Traffic Review

My first trip to Ireland, England and Germany was made much less stressful by this GPS. Trust me when I tell you we went down every cow path in all three countries tring to find places where my wife's family tree had originated. We were on back roads in Germany that were frequented by more farm tractors than passanger vehicles and never once got lost. Even in Dublin and London the Garmin helped in pedestrian mode as we looked for important stops along the Ale Pub tours...lol. The speed and camera zone warnings were really helpful across both Ireland and England, and saved me some substantial fines I'm sure. The baby Benz we rented in Frankfurt had a GPS system, but we used the Garmin instead.
